This is a praise testimony just to show how God works. On April 17th, 2011 a mass destruction hit our home(a fire). This was a Sunday morning and we had just came from church praising God only to come home to what the Devil thought he had planned for us,but God intercepted. On this day my husband Bro. John Boyd decided he wanted to barbeque so i didn't have to cook and my niece Ja'nya went out to play at the park with family. I decided that i was not going to take a nap which is something i usually do when i come home from church. I started preparing my side dishes and in comes John screaming come here, come here somebody apartment is on fire. I turned off the stove and ran outside to see what the commotion was about. When i ran outside everyone was running around screaming and yelling. When i looked up one of our neighbors was on her balcony screaming. The fire had already spread to her apartment and she and her kids were trapped inside. She was only thinking about how she could save her children that she began dropping them from the balcony. Bro John ran over there to help this other gentleman catch the children. I was so afraid that they would drop them. After the children were secured the young lady began yelling what about me!!!! This is how God works when she began yelling that it seemed like the fire that was blocking her door shifted for a few seconds enough for her to get out. After 10 mins the Fire department finally showed up and they escorted everyone to the nearby park and away from the building. I couldn't leave without getting my Bible!! I ran back upstiars and i could see the fire coming real fast. I only had time to grab my purse and my bible. When i made it back out i ran to the park with everyone else and that's when it hit me that everything we owned was burning up in flames. I opened my bible and began to read Psalm 23 to comfort me. Tears began to roll down my eyes, but i wasn't devestated because i knew that i had the Lord on my side and he would take care of us.  As i was standing there two men from First Baptist church came up to me out of all the people that were out there. I knew that was nobody but God because they shook my hand and said "Sorry for your loss" and then they walked off and as i started to read again they came back to me and shook my hand once more and said if you ever need anything give us a call and one said"remember my name Jim Wilson". As he let go of my hand and walked away I opened my hand and there and behold there was $100.00. I couldn't do anything but say Thank you God!!! You never know who God will put in your life, he put people in your life for a reason. I let my light shine and it was noticed. After that help started pouring in from everywhere! And now we are in a better place than where we were. God had to destroy our past in order to make a better future for us!! There is no limit to what God can do.
